“100 Mile Angels” run/walk for the cure !

Sunday, October 3, 2010 was the annual Run for the Cure in Kamloops B.C. and what a beautiful sunny day it was to run or walk the 5 K’s.  “100 Mile Angels” had 19 registered members join this year . We had 5 guests as well. It was a very special run/walk for my friend Jane as of this year she is a 5 year survivor ! There were over 1500 participants at the event . In total there was over $227,00 raised in Kamloops alone. “100 Mile Angels” at last count raised close to $2,500. October is breast cancer awareness month. Hopefully next year we will have twice as many participants on our “100 Mile Angels” team & raise more money for such a worthy cause. Thanks again to all who donated and participated !

Puerto Vallarta , Mexico

I wanted to share some photos from our recent trip to Mexico .  It was so hot .  But worth every minute.  The iguanas were very entertaining they live up to 15 years.  I loved all of the colors of the walls at the resort.  The earthquake sign made me feel so at ease. I used my Kodak Easyshare c713 camera as  I don’t usually take my Nikon cameras on holiday… less  to worry about.

South Cariboo Fall Fair Sept. 10-12

I couldn’t resist entering this event in my blog.  It was so much fun to watch the participants at the Fall Fair pie eating contest.
