Green Lake , B.C.

When I was coming home today from 70 Mile House I decided to take  the “back road” way instead of Hwy. 97.  What a beautiful gem I gave the time to pay attention to “Green Lake”.  I think for myself anyway, we drive by places and don’t give a second thought to them in this instance “Green Lake”  I couldn’t get over how green and turquoise the water was ~  I thought I was in Hawaii for a moment~ What a special place and a beautiful day !

Green Lake is a lake in the South Cariboo region of British Columbia, Canada, located east of 70 Mile House. The lake is a popular recreational residential area frequented by owners from the Lower Mainland. Several locations around the lake are part of Green Lake Provincial Park.

The Murals in 100 Mile House B.C. ~

The 100 Mile Mural Society and other Artists  have done a wonderful  job of “painting” the town.  The images represent people (pioneers) and places around the area.  I wanted to dedicate this blog to all of the wonderful images that can be seen all around 100 Mile House.  Amazing artists ~ amazing images ~Jan K.  left a comment in regards to the first mural in 100 Mile House painted by Judy Copeland ~ so I went over to where I was told it was and have included it in this post ~  It is slightly hidden but is still visible It depicts land surveyors doing the first surveys for the town, done from 4 old photographs, You can see it behind the garden on South Cedar Ave. against the old Kidston and & Hemingway building. Right across from the Jr High~The view of 100 Mile House from the top of the hill just North of 100 Mile ~
