Beauty Sunset ~ New Moon

These winter sunsets  are candy to the eyes ~ The last photo I added was last night’s (Jan.19/13) sunset in North Vancouver ~ I thought it was worth adding because it was so pretty (I took the photo from my son’s patio in North Van)

29 below ~

It never ceases to amaze me how these little critters still make a living at 29 below ~ I so enjoy watching these birds ~  I’ll have to get as gutsy as them  and photograph them outside instead of cheating through the windows all the time ~ excuse the dirty windows…

tobogganing

noun    (Concise Encyclopedia)

Sport of sliding down a snow-covered hill on a toboggan, a long, flat-bottomed sled made of thin boards curved up at the front end. The word is of Algonquian origin and probably refers to a towing sled. Tobogganing as a sport appears to have originated on the slopes of Mount Royal in Montreal in the late 19th century. In the early 20th century many tobogganing chutes (3-ft-wide wood- or ice-sided channels) were built.
